The Foreshadow of the Frost Giant

The Frost Giants arrival is foreshadowed this cold day. He mocks the crown of the lordly sun Helios as he whips the winds with his fury and drives them into our lands. He beats the clouds with his mighty hammer until at last they bleed their rain.  Mercilessly the trees are being shorn their golden garments, leaving them naked as the leaves flutter aimlessly around like weakened butterflies. Our once warm and gay hearts now grow grey like the darkening skies.

With this onslaught of coldness comes the Battle of Bulkage. As the icy chill robs us of our vigor, the comforting treats of Carbos dance before our feeble minds, tempting us with false offers of strength. The merchants of the land ring the deep golden bells to call the faithful to indulge in Carbos' sweetened wares. To partake of them, is to find oneself under his maddening spell. A spell that drives one crazy with a lustful desire for more of the treats. The more they eat, the stronger the spell, the stronger the spell, the more they eat. Soon they find themselves trapped in a soft luxuriant cocoon that saps the physical body as well as the will.

Tween the Outrageous has traversed the stone pathways on a magnificent beast of burden with the Goblin Hordes to a far away city to learn the ways of history. May the Ancient One grant them safe passage and ward off the spells of the Sick Witch.
